Free Webs

I almost forgot webs.com, formally freewebs. Our friends the Almy's used this to design their wedding website. Webs.com is great because it allows you to set up and paypal feature where guests can donate money to the honeymoon. Since Kevin and I already have a house, this is a great way to contribute to something you know we will use! I was also able to incorporate my blog, photos, videos, a map (from wedding mapper), and hotel rates. A wedding website is a great way to share updated information with our guests and it also allows them to plan a vacation, contact us, or just browse around to see what's new.

My Ring, part 2

Here's the second photo I selected!

My Ring

I read this post on weddingbee months ago, How to Take Amazing Engagement and Wedding Ring Photos. I am so happy I finally got a chance to try it. I was off taking photos of a new real estate listing in downtown Charleston. If you know anything about Charleston real estate, you know there are rod iron gates EVERYWHERE! I was walking out of a beautiful (over $4 million dollar listing) on Church Street and stopped to give it a try. I absolutely adore my engagement ring. It has an estate jewelery/vintage feel to it, so it was perfect to photograph it at an historic home. I hope you all enjoy it!

Invite Graphics

Invites will be going out in May, keep your fingers crossed, so be on the lookout! Here's a sneak peak at the design . It reminds me of the DIY pinwheels.

Wedding Mapper

Check it out, this is what we used to produce our map on our wedding website. Wedding mapper lets you do anything you need to do. We were able to mark attractions, our favorite restaurants, hotels, and the ceremony/reception site. I hope it's helpful to our guests!

Sluggish in April...

Not a good way to start the under 5 month mark. Although I have not been blogging, I have been doing wedding planning! Here's a quick summary of what is going on. The Save the Dates were sent in March and the invite design was finalized. Our original ceremony musician backed out and booked another event for our date without notice! We've picked tuxes and starting planning the design of my wedding band. Kevin did a complete presentation of our Costa Rica honeymoon and the shower date has been selected! I'll do my best to do a some posts about the items listed above!
